Always something new to learn on this TV channel
Osage Orange & Mulberry are in the same family of tree. Osage is great firewood & fence posts. Top 2 chunks are Mulberry ( left is fresh cut, right dead about 2 years) bottom 4 are old Hedge posts from about 10-25 years old. 61E36FB1-70B6-4F11-A0BD-A8417AAA5430.jpeg

Snaps & pops, probably not good for fireplaces but most folks seem to like it. It’s all my cousin burns in his OWB. They are plentiful & grow fast. Cuts nice & splits well. At least that’s been my experience.

Our air temp is about zero right now, I just threw a chunk of hedge in the furnace. My dad said he melted a grate in half putting too much in. It is hard when dry. The noodles are only half an inch long.
