@dall or anyone else who's converted a 394 to a 395 have you tried using the 394 carb? I converted wj71 to top external impulse along with using 7/32 bit to drill mount holes to fit plastic sleeves and attempted to use it but the throttle arm is too big and won't clear so I ended up using 395 wj115. The Venturi is much bigger on 394 carb. I thought about swapping throttle cable arms but rather not if there is a easier solution.

Pretty sure @dall would melt if he touched a Husky

View attachment 84637 I think things wouldve been better and more accurate if jason had just stepped up to the pro model belt sander...
Nah, they are for woodworking.
J might end up compromising some more parts. But with the right jig and suggested oil mix...

Pretty well proved the noise was the oil pump gears and clutch drum spinning, I hit those moving parts with wd 40 to see if that was noise and it was. There was no gritty feeling turning over flywheel by hand either. No play in rod bearing either. Pretty confident this saw is 100%. Runs and tunes/sounds great. It would have been impossible for strap on to reuse the bearings as they blew previously, I shined a led light right at bearings and looked over them real good. Surfaces looked good and clean. Most of the mix that came out from flush was carbon from running 15 tanks through saw before old topend reared its scored condition and trashed the piston. I trust bearings they were pretty well silent lubed.
No offense bub, but most of that sounded like jms jargon.
All we're doing is trying to give you good advise, not tell you you're wrong.

That nick won't hurt a thing, especially way out on the web like that.

FYI to everyone my other 395 had same markings in same exact spots as this one, so it is normal and probably part of the tooling/casting process.
