The nice thing about JB is in the unlikely event it comes out of the intake, its soft enough to minimize damage in the motor. It crumbles to a powder.

Devcon isn't, it will smear a piston.

Splash Zone A-778 is better than Devcon but it doesn't hold up well to methanol.

I also have Belozona 1111 but that is really hard to get.

so what you guys are saying is @bwalker is talking out his ass once again ?
You can lead a cull to water but you cant make him drink...
JB might work fine until it doesnt. And it probably cost more when you figure price per unit.
I know for a fact JB is very brittle and Devcon is not because I have used them alot in industry. Belzona makes good products also.
As for sucking bits of epoxy through a motor. JB weld wont do the piston and rings any favors.

So grown men are being nasty to each other because they prefer different epoxies. [emoji23][emoji23]

Ok guys let's put this to rest please.[emoji111][emoji111]
Not much different than saying "Andre's saws are junk, mine are better". Even though he's never run yours.

Wow, that really escalated quickly. I like both JB and Devcon. Devcon is significantly stronger and harder. It's also much more expensive and trickier to mix in small weights. JB is "cheap" and if it does the job what's the problem? You should see the rifle being crowd fight over them.

the real question is which epoxy with which oil? can you run RA 29:1 with JB?

On a serious note JB does absolutely lose it's "grab" at around 400-500°F it's still a solid mass so if it we're in enough crevices it would hold it will just peel off a smooth surface at those temps. Does anyone successfully use JB for exhausts?

I don't think so Tim, or wire them up for 220.

That's Mr. Stump Shot and yes all this BS over how a man chooses to dicker with a garden tool.

Uh.... hopefully you realize I was just kidding Steve. It was nice meeting you at Kevin's last year even if we didn't get a chance to talk much.

I wouldn't use any epoxy in the exhaust port.
