I am sorry I am not sure if I missed something but when the 12mm crank was put in the 10mm case was the back of the connecting rod groud down for clearance?
I put a 12mm crank in a 10mm case but me and
@Scotty Overkill made the relief in the case itself for the clearance. I thought about taking the excess off of the back of the connecting rod but I was worried about taking the temper out of the rod and causing a weak/failure point.
I forget what thread it was in but Scotty posted about what I did destroying the eclip lip on the PTO side of the crank. This lead me to look for another 12mm crank to replace it.
@Armbru84 alerted me to a good used OEM crankshaft /crankcase it was listed as a 12mm but once I received it it was actually a 10mm setup. We did make a repair to the eclip lip by preheating welding it up and cutting a new slot. So far it's holding up but I'd just like to have another crank on hand if a failure occurs.
So I am still looking for a good used OEM 12mm crank. I have a good used OEM 10mm crankshaft for trade. If anyone is interested.
