Anyone had a 2100 not oil with a new bar? My 2101 didn’t want to oil to save its life with a new 33” 063 cannon I put on last summer. I ran the saw a few times cleaning the oil system out a few times, checking the bar etc. Couldn’t get it for anything. Tried it again last winter, still no go. Then today I decided it was happening, so I ran it and my dads 2100xp side by side bars off. The 2100 is my best oiling saw, with a 33” 058 cannon bar that is pretty old on it it sprays oil everywhere and really makes a mess. Anyway, bars off the 2101 oiled more!

Then I thought it must be the bars, and it was. The old cannon had come off a 2100 parts saw that had been used on the coast probably by a pro I’m guessing. Anyway, he slit the oil holes right out into the bar channel with a file and beveled the edges. So I took the hint and dremmeled out the new bars’ oil holes much larger and tried it. Now it oils much better. Just thought I’d share that.

That is a nice lookin saw
Thanks! It’s too bad, this one is the freshest of my five 99cc huskies, and unfortunately it is a dog. Lol. Runs good, just really really needs porting!

Anyone know if the chain adjuster assemblies are still available new? Apparently I lost the whole assembly out of this saw today.

I bought the cross brand from h&l. I had to sand the head a little to get it to fit. It also did not come with a retainer clip even though it has a slot for it. I got an eclip at the parts store that had the same ID and sanded the outside a little here and there until it fit in the case. Took a little modifying but the price is right.

I need to find some decent wood to give a couple 2100/2101’s a joyride!

I've shirked more than a few responsibilities today to get this bad boy ready to try tomorrow. I traded for her a few months ago and never even started it. New starter dogs, carb kit and seals and a good bit of cleanup and she's ready to go. Found an nos air shield for between the starter and some new bar plates at my local too. It's all coming together. Muuuaaaahhaaahaaa......
