The most fascinating part to me is how 572 is beating these saws while using less fuel. Some say it takes fuel to make power... maybe for the older designs. I think it’s how efficient the motor is at making use of the fuel. The 572 is just more efficient.

More no load rpm doesn’t mean anything if the saw isn’t making more power tuned to there. Too lean and the saw gets hot and looses power in long cuts.

They don't call you Hooskieboy for nuthin...
Richen up that carb, and go for it...

AND you know I would never want anyone to blow up any saw.
Maybe make a 372 stroker?

I have confidence in you. I know you can do it.

It’s all good in the hood lol. I would like to get a 576xp to compare to the 572’s since it’s replacing that saw too.

FYI, on the chain sharpening and sq/round … I can sharpen square just as fast as round, with just a stump vice on the bar, and I do it by hand.

Square file at the proper angles (not the fasted cutting angles) will hold an edge just as long as full chisel chain.

No not likely. The setup on the newer Husky and stihl saws with the front feeding transfer tunnels has changed things pretty drastically. Totally different than the old side feed quad port design. It's clear the front feed design has better flow. In the front door out the back door, not in the front door turn 90° in either direction.[emoji111]

It’s pulling down low better than the 462, you can dog into trees while keeping a low stump better, and I love the autotune. Definitely feels firmer than the 7900, while being super smooth. I have been playing with a lot of saws lately, but I’m going to stick with this one for my smaller saw. It’s a real pleasure to run. Shoutout to @HYPERSAWS for making it a lot better than stock, or my muffler mod alone.

It's a pain in the balls, I know...but I'd love some footage of that saw doing some work. Just over here anticipating my own!

I’ll try to get some. @HYPERSAWS has a YouTube channel, so maybe he can put something on. I haven’t been able to upload any videos just from my phone.
I am always tweaking with the carb trying to get it perfect, and it’s so nice to just have the saw run right no matter what is going on. I’m sure you will love it. It really woke up to porting IMO.

I hear that loud and clear. Just a few days ago I put 6 saws on my ATV to go play with a log I found in the woods. Forgot to bring a tuning screw driver, and my house is under 500 feet and I was over 2,000 feet. The only one of the 6 saws that felt like it was at it's potential was the M Tronic saw! I'm getting spoiled with that!
