I have a 460 that we might go with. I ain't looking to complicate it with a computer and a *s-word-ton of wiring. I imagine it will stay as it is for now while we work on the chassis and body.
I should have said that only if it didn’t have a good power plant.

Here in desert ca with ca gas carbs are always messed up. LS engine and trans pull it yourself on half price weekend. Stand-alone computers/harnesses are pretty reasonable now. Adapting the mounts would be easy for me here at work.

Course I say all that and my ‘69 dodge shorty is gonna get a 440 or else.

I’ve always been partial to a well running FE, always had good power and reliability in my experience, had them in farm and grain trucks as well as a 76 f100 I had, 390 2bbl, c6 and 3:00 9” it would bury the needle and didn’t seem to ever really top out

We have 2 FE 360s. One is an industrial version with a 5 speed with granny gear, and the other is the engine in Bubba's 74. Does anyone know what the difference (if anything) is between the two? We are looking for a 390 for the rotating assembly and the 4 barrel intake also.

I have that, it's a 75 F150 with 390, C6, 3.00 rear, original 4BBL manifold and heads sitting is in the garage, truck is sitting in the driveway. Hasn't been ran in 24 years, ran good when parked. Not driveable in current condition. And there is a near new tailgate in the garage to go with it.
