Dodge chit is getting old, took her out for a street run yesterday and ac didn't work in 100 degree heat, alternator chit the bed, and when I went to replace the fuel filter tonight I noticed cracks in the exhaust manifold. Oh yeah, and the alternator I got today was wrong. Turns out the SLT trim packaged trucks use a different alt connector style! :BangHead:

Both common prolems, i had both, getting the correct alt was tough, ex manifold i got on warranty, 1998.5 some fuel filter hosings cracked

Gave the Dodge a little workout today and hauled a new project back to my brother's place for him. The new truck's a 68 F250 with a built 360 bored 30 over that my older brother swapped some dirt work for. According to legend it ran until the carb was swapped and the install was never finished, and it's been sitting ever since. Plan is it'll donate it's motor to the clean red one, then as time and funds allow my youngest brother will fix it up and make it a four by ferd. If all goes well next weekend I'll be hauling up another project truck, but that one will be for me.

What's the plan for power train? LS? Twin turbo 300? 4-53t Detroit?

I bought this 07 Hoe from a friend. 5.3, 4l60. I'll strip the engine, trans, wiring. Go through both, cam at minimum in engine and put that in. I'll swap the trans output shaft and bolt on a tail housing to convert that to 2wd.

I have a full size bronco front Dana 44 I think. With the radius arm poly mount deals cast in.
Now you just need a bronco to put it under.....

I've got an open knuckle 44hd with dual piston disc brakes on it waiting to go into my yella ford, then my old front axle will be donated to the new ford. There's an extra Dana 24 sitting in storage and I got a set of free Rancho 2" lift springs for a squarebody chebby, all we need now is a set of perches, some driveshaft magic, and voila! We've got a diy 4x conversion kit! Or maybe see how hard it would be to put a 6.0 front end under it and utilize the original 2wd coil spring setup? :nusenuse:
