Damn, I was looking for a derail. I had to look back through the thread.
My own hubris being my downfall, of course I should have put more faith the the guy from Greece that would settle for nothing less when it came from olives.

The oil that Dan @AlfA01 makes is far better than anything that can be bought at a store. He sent me a half-gallon and I gave some away to my mom and friends and they all raved about it. It's one of the best cooking oils I've ever used.

I wouldn't doubt that I just didn't know if he was locally procuring it or making it himself. I was aiming for a small chance of trolling.

Most of the living products we see in the US (Food or something to make food) don't compare to other places.
I've been to a few nations and out of those few Kosovo was my favorite. The meat markets and stores were the second favorite part (The locals were the first, great people), Excluding expense due to market value
(They were were way cheaper do to the economy but I'm not comparing prices just the product. As their meat category was a big staple there.)
Their common off the shelf meats blew the US out of the water when it came to the cuts themselves (edit: to explain cuts, I would say the flavor and texture to get a similar cut in the US you would be paying a decent dime from a good local butcher).
It's forever a place I'd love to go back to on my own dime.
