I got some more limbing done this afternoon for the owb. I used my scarr 550xpg and my XS 550xp. I didn't have much time today, I hope to finish the tree tomorrow.

Spent the better part of the day playing with firewood. Stacked a bunch more in my basement,

Then the rain stopped and I sawed up a black oak log for my dad. About 28” dbh .

Brought one load back to his place. Will get the rest tomorrow.

Then came home and threw one more trailer load in my basement, then started filling in that void with my honey locust.

I got the rest of the tree limbed up this morning with my Stump Shot 550xpg. I started blocking and noodling up the trunk with my Stump Shot 572XP. I was by myself like normal and big rounds were getting too heavy for me to roll around and noodle. I'll have to have my 25 year old son come out and help me out.

Finished splitting what was on the pickup then went down and cut a little more. Got about half split before calling it a day. Mostly ash that's been down a few years.20231008_140536.jpg20231008_154853.jpg20231008_154859.jpg

I got some firewood for the owb today. I'd like to start off by saying I had a sh@tty day at work. I ended up leaving early. What could make my day better, cutting firewood. Unfortunately, that didn't work out very well. I brought my scarr 592xp with a 36" bar and a "brand new chain " of course you probably can guess what happened. I block all split able wood at 26". I only had to make 13 cuts. This happened on cut number 9.I rocked the brand new chain.

The bad day continued. I brought my XS 572xpg and my Stump Shot 572XP with 28" bars for noodling. I ran out of gas with 5 more 26" pieces to noodle down.
