favorite round or square file brand

Post up your favorite file brand. I want to buy a dozen of files but don't know which brand is best.

I like Swiss made ones to me the woodland pro for the money hard to beat I just got two dozen they'll last me prolly four years or so only cut in winter... I only use round never tried square

Round files I like Save Edge by a mile. Oregon files have to be the worst I've ever used.

Many don't hold Vallorbe in high regard, but my experience has been different. I actually don't really like save edge, mainly use pferd. Who is holding the file is more important nine times out of ten than brand IMO.

Didnt care for the Viilia and the woodsman pro was the worse made I have ever seen. I used woodsman pro for raker files.
The old stihl files before 2009 were good. The older save edge were good.

The last I had before mailing them off.

I don't care for the single bit vallorbee. The ones I've got now are lasting better than any I've tried.

Round filing here, Stihl 5.5mm & 4.8mm for 3/8" Dolmar (Oregon) chisel chains.

Stihl flat file for rakers.
