No, for my wooden handled choppers. One cracked handle and some handles I want to shorten.

I used the ol' logger's standard on one of mine, electrical tape. I built it up real thick and then for the final layer I did a very fine, barely overlapping wrap to make it as smooth as possible and it worked really well.

if i ever needed anything on the handles it was either standars black tape or the cloth electrical tape its is just the same as regular black tape but made of cloth.

Maybe industrial heat shrink. Works great on smaller tools.

They make thick heavy industrial electrical tape and also cloth electrical tape which I haven’t seen yet. I’m probably gonna get some of that and some hockey tape. I want the strongest and cloth.
