All reports I've heard from other pro's in the field running them on the daily mirror what you said. My buddy cant order enough 550 mark 2's or 572's.

Yup, I know what he means. They don't even have 550's right now. Ordered 25 of them yesterday and they are a few weeks out. They weren't moving all that fast then all of a sudden they took off. Only got a couple in stock.

Don't take trade ins. But I do have one of those 1989 300th anniversary 268XP's just like yours. :)
I’ll take it! Lol! Good to hear from you Bob and great info on the 572. As you know I’m one of those wait and see guys and it sounds like I know what my next new saw will be. If I don’t scoop up a 395 before they’re gone:(

Good report Bob !
I'm interested in the smaller 572 ..the 562 Mkll. Hopefully my old 562 will hold out till the Mkll is out.
Sadly sounds like the explosive rev boost is gone though.....

The guy who made the loud comment has a couple modded saws too, so it's not like he never heard a loud saw before. Maybe it's a pitch thing? He's a good guy, not a goof who says dumb things.
Correct. After reading your first post I was going to suggest he would be good with a ported muffler with a throatier sound. I have refrained from speaking about the stock pitch on here before as it's something that I would changed anyway. It's an uncomfortable pitch for me. I bought a new 575 in a pinch back 11 yrs ago and had 105 db ear muffs. It was a long shift. It had that similar pitch that got to me through the muffs.

I like the idle of mine, it reminds me of the 281 I had.

Can I ask what you like more about the 572 to recommend it more often?

Happy customers. That's all I care about.

When Husqvarna was having what had to be 8 year old Chinese kids assembling their saws, I said what I thought about that. Loudly. And I didn't give a *f-word who's panties got twisted about it either. When they started building something i could build and sell without worries.....

Yeah....I did.

I get good feedback from my customers about the 572xp. Period. It's a chainsaw. It cuts wood. They like it. It ain't puking parts. They can make money with it. What I like or dislike about it is irrelevant.

Don't read to much into my question, just wanted to know if there was a specific reason he was recommending it to customers over other saws, ie: price, durability. I will take it as a win no matter the reason. Long live the new king!
