Couple notes on the 572's. They are actually coming, believe it or not. Product codes are in the system, so we can now see the pricing and all. I entered an order for 100 of them, but they are restricted to a 1-31-19 ship date. :(

My earlier guesses about what I'll be able to sell them for were accurate. Should I post them here or maybe not??? If Randy says it's OK...…….. (Notice how I threw that in his lap?)

Some of the parts are already in stock too. I ordered the outside bar spike for mine.

Yeah, 565 is in there also, at a somewhat shocking $240 less than the 572. Gonna have to order more of them than I planned. :)

Another note on the side covers is that they apparently interchange with the 372/576/390. The W cover listed for the 572 is the same number as the 576XPW cover. So, the 390 W cover will fit along with the west coast spikes. Surely that is good news to all of you guys who are less than fond of silver side covers.

Would have to go through the exercise to give a straight answer, but you'd need to do the stuffers and I'm not sure if the crank itself is the same item.

Thats around the same amount % wise apart the two saws are priced over here to. Of corse there will need to be a little "test " or three with a 565 and your 572 in the woods :)

For sure! Make for a nice winter video with Walt as long as the snow isn't too deep.

565 will need some break in time cause the 572 was night and day different from it's first tank to where it is now.

But on this point I'm very surprised; expected them to be the usual $100 spread. At the discounts involved my selling prices will be $200 different between the 572 and 565 from what I'm figuring here this morning.

List seems £200-270 between the two from many dealers that have them listed. I "THINK" and this is not a fact...but the few that got sold before the hold had the usual 20% ish off list price paid.

Gives us something to argue about. Let's see if we can get him started early. @afleetcommand

But his custom 560XP "old man saw" shows that he likes the hotter version, or put another way, that I was right all along. LOL

Nothing more than a out of the box start ,shows 565 and 572 design side by side.

Some early publicity photos (and the workshop manual) showed this to be the case as well, nice to see the compatibility across models. Now if only it had captive nuts too!

Whoa, this is the first I'm hearing about a 565. I obviously missed that, how long ago was that announced?

What are the differences, is it a slightly detuned low top version of the 572 like the 365 is of the 372?

Has Walt already forgotten about my 357? Lol! I hope to be there to interject that one into the discussion (argument). Simply because he hates them...lol!
