OK guys I finally got time to scrounge through my garage and found a few things. I will cover shipping for the 48. Here we go...

First is a 12" 3/8LP narrow kerf bar and Carlton 45dl .043 chain. Bought it just to see if I liked it. I only ran it once to do a little storm damage clean up and then I gave away the saw it was for. It is Woodland Pro "universal mount" I had it in place of A041 mount bar. Will also fit K095, D176 and I believe it will fit the small Stihl saws. Next is a mystery bar. Tip kinda looks like GB but I'm not for sure. It is 3/8" .058ga 70dl. It came on a McCulloch 7-10 so I assume it is either a D276 or D176 but it does match up almost perfect to a K041 mount. It wouldn't be hard to modify for K095.IMG_20161216_125809_529.jpg IMG_20161216_125827_617.jpg IMG_20161216_125837_072.jpg IMG_20161216_130210_857.jpg

Last up for now I have 2 used chains. 3/8" .058ga 84dl full chisel. Someone got a little crazy trying to sharpen these. Both have a ton of hook and the rakers look pretty low. They might be good candidates to convert them to square filed. I have never tried square file though so don't take my word for it. IMG_20161216_124934_303.jpg

I've got some Husky branded chisel that's square ground. Great stuff.

This would be cool to have for some one. did the narrow kerf make much difference? So it's not a 3/8LP chain? Is it some narrow special chain?

I can't really say I noticed a difference but everything I cut with it was 4" or smaller. I would think it would make a difference cutting in bigger wood.

It is .043ga 3/8"LP narrow kerf. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but i think it is very similar to Stihl Picco. I'll see if I can figure out how to post a link.

*Edit* I couldn't figure the link so here is a picture.Screenshot_2016-12-16-16-11-23.png

I like narrow kerf chain. My Husqvarna came with their H30 chain, which is essentially the same as Oregon 95VP (being replaced by 95TXL). Bailey's started promoting the Carlton version a few years back. The narrower bit makes the saw perform like it has more power. Only 'drawback' is that the bars are slightly more flexible - probably not an issue with a 12" bar.

I think it would be a bunch of filing for a good round, to switch to square is a lot of filing

I had read that after filing to square you usually have to clean out the gullet. Would the gullets of these chains be "already cleaned" because of the radical hook?

yes, probably... its common practice to use a round grinder to pre-clean a gullet before square grinding/filing.

Any chance this would fit a little Poulan 1800 woodsman? If so, I would love to have it. I don't know much about the bar numbers yet.

That being said up front I will offer another of the clip on lamps I gave away last year.

If you are interested please PM me. I will collect names until Sunday and then draw the lucky name.

Gary

Just wanted to bring this back up. Many liked the original post but that doesn't get you entered in the drawing...
