Picked this up last week for $240. 42" bar and chain is new. Unfortunately bar is For a Stihl. Jug cleaned up nice and brake system is mostly gone. I may not completely suck but I felt like it was a pretty good deal. Has a new Hd A 63 carb on it. Is this the correct carb for the saw

Yup. Did a little more research on this saw today. I may run it stock first then do some progressive mods to it. This saw has a stout bottom end

Grabbed this Ms260 for $50, guy had a 241 listed that turned out to be a 271 when I got there. Got to talking with him and he said he still had his old stihl that "died" took a quick look at it made a deal for $50, maybe not complete suckage but I think I did well.

Before and after pics. Only took about 40 minutes to get her cleaned, do a quick muff mod., add a wide weave screen, pull the limiters on the carb, flush the tank, new plug and tweak the carb. Runs pretty damn good. Piston looks perfect. Just need a recoil badge and bar nut and good to go.

Husky 281XP freebie from a co worker, apparently was retired when it got low on compression, from many years sitting the engine froze up, when I get time I'll see what its problems are.It looks quite good under the grime.20180710_160159.jpg 20180710_160258.jpg 20180710_160217.jpg 20180710_160314.jpg

Traded a set of old big block chevy pushrods for this 026 red lever today. It was sitting under a the guys bench for 2 years. He thinks it needs a "carb or something". I think it will clean up real nice. The piston looks great. I need to order a 194 carb kit, rubber lines and it feels like the av rubbers are real bad. Hopefully I can make a nice firewood saw out of it. Ive never run an 026 but have been waiting for a deal on one for quite a while.

You suck! And remember the choke is in the airfilter and if the return spring is weak it can suck it shut when revving it.
