Many have been wondering what raffle Randy and Jeremy were talking about...

Now is the time to launch that raffle in support of our own Jon1212 and the entire Fudim Family. No, Jon is not suffering from a medical disaster (thankfully) but more like financial death by 1000 bites.

I am not sure when the story actually begins but it goes something like this. Jon was working for a company founded by his father and a partner. Jon had been successfully running their plant in Northern California when his dad and partner decided they needed a stronger sales force to continue to grow the business and convinced Jon to uproot his family and move to Utah. As far as I understand it was all going well until 4 years ago when Jon's dad died. Having lost my own father in 2009 I can understand what a blow this can be but in Jon's case doubly so as his dad was his mentor and employer. Shortly after losing his father Jon also lost his job as the partner decided to move the company in a different direction. Did he offer to move Jon and his family back to Cali? No, he just left them in Utah where they had set down some new roots but not enough to want to stay there forever.

Since that time Jon has searched tirelessly in his own field and any other to find career employment, both in the area he lives and across the nation. He hasn't been able to find anything full time and continues to work part time in as many as 3 different places as well as buying/ selling/ repairing OPE on his own.

Despite never having his own steady pay cheque his generousity to members of the forum has never waned. I do believe there isn't a Mini Mac left in Utah that he hasn't sent to someone here... He's also been a regular starter of and contributor to the Seasonal Giving threads and has donated countless saws and bars to other causes.

For several of us in the community the last straw happened early in this New Year. The house they were renting was sold from under them and they were forced to move. Without better job prospects in another city what else could be done than move to another house in the same area. At least the kids could stay in the same schools...

So basically, Utah has been kicking Jon in the sack for years and we want to do something about it. Several of us in the community have banded together with the goal of providing the Fudim family with a kick start on the next part of their journey that is life. Please remember is isn't just our crusty grammar monitor that you are helping but the entire Fudim Clan.

Our intention is to get this raffle off with the largest prize pool to date. Seven saws, a port job and a race saw build are already on the list...

Full Prize list now in Post 2

Sport breeding is a great pasttime in my family but at least we don't go to the reunions looking for a hookup

Since we are done talking about tyres....I just wanna know why you think I would look for a date at a family reunion.

Is it just because I'm from Tennessee, or is because my eyes are close together?

Oh.....who rang the bell today?

Who would have thunk a simple tire recommendation would result in a two page derail , my apologies
