A ported 390xp with a 28" full of fullcomp 404 noodling will swallow a gallon pretty quick
I’d imagine so. A 272xp will drink enough I don’t have any huge timber that I personally work on. I have cut up some 40 plus inch white oaks with it. Honestly could use a larger saw for those few occasions but it’s rare I ever need much more.

A 661c is a sipper compared to my 390 with 404. If I carry my 390, 064/66, 562xp, and 346 , a gallon is gone before I turn around if we r cuttin in bigwood

I usually carry a 346 n a 55. Only bring the 272 if larger stuff is involved. I have some other random slaying around I try to get a tank through here and there but those two are my fav

2 gallons a day is a good bit. Not sure what Ive ran in my 390 with 404 noodling but a good bit

I forgot about a big silver maple about 2 years ago keith..we used probably 3/4 of a 5 gallon can.

That's rare for us..just a small gig we are.

And no ported saws either.

I was shocked at the difference of fuel consumption of a stock vs. ported saw. I guess it takes fuel to make power! LOL

2 seconds saved in a cut doesn't mean anything taking trees out of people's yards.

Fun...sure they are, we never finished a job super fast because I took one of my ported saws.
