Here we go.... Sorry guy's i had not much time left on the table the past few weeks. My planned test was not possible and complicated by the fact that my mate really need his 462 for working in his arborist business. He sold his former workhorse, the 562xp because of the 462.

But here's is the vid from my quick test with the stock after some break in time

The ported one is now back at work for quite two and half weeks. Run's great so far, no issues.

After x-mas i will dig into the second 462 (looking for more). And still hoping for a 572xp to compare, maybe in the end of january.

I wish you guy's a good and peaceful weekend now (especially Brad, get well soon!), i'm out for a birthday party :D

That's the point! Even though the 572xp would be a bit stronger, which I do not think, the weight gap is to big. The Stihl guys can only beat themselves with technical problems here, the 462 is hard to beat as a allround workhorse with that weight if its hold up well. I'm more a husky guy myself, but seriously why should i pick a heavier saw (572xp) or a less powerful saw with the same weight (562xp)? Next year, when the 13,5lbs 80cc 6,8hp MS500i arrives, it will be an absolute knockout on paper for the 562xp and 572xp. Husqvarna need a rework on the 560/562 to safe weight or they must cut the prices to stay in the competition. That's my opinion

I hope Husky shows some badass saws 2018/2019.
I dont want a Stihl monopoly for good saws :D

Thats the worst that can happen. Prices will rise and the development will slow down.

Where does the drastic weight savings come from? 1lb is quite a bit, just curious how it was accomplished compared to its predecessor? How much did the 461 weigh?
461 and 462 having not much in common construction wise, the 462 is more like a 261 on steroids. But the engine is technically a mix up between them with slightly less cc.
