These pics come to us by way of @StephK87 from Germany. He was kind enough to void his warranty and send us these pics. Not only that, he will be porting this saw ASAP and gutting the stratos, Snellerized Style. I can't wait to see how this thing runs! It looks like a cross between a MS261CII and a MS661C.

Stephen's initial comments are that it's as light as a MS362, as strong as a MS461 but with better acceleration, and much better handling than a MS441.

That is the tightest case I've seen without stuffers.

I have some ideas.....but need some numbers !!!!!!!

    Thanks for posting these Brad.

I've never taken apart a new saw but it seems like a lot of cylinder scuffing already. Thoughts from people who have?

The integral diverter scares me. The one in my 461 was cracked and needed replaced.

I will post additional info as I get it. I'm sure port timing will be among that.

Completely normal. I've seen much worse.

I've yet to see that. Of course I've just seen mostly new saws......

That's good to hear, and if I'm the only person you've heard it from then even better.

The most common issue I see and hear about is the jug cracking under the exhaust port on the 461. I noticed they added reinforcements to the 661 from the base up on each side.

This is exciting! I hope this saw doesn't need any beefing up and add weight because right now you get 60cc weight at damn near 80cc power!

I just hope it wakes up the same as other saws, or it's a yawn!

Never saw a piston as funky as that.

The 461 I repaired (for a local tree guy) had a chunk out of the bottom of the piston that I think was heat related, but the cylinder was OK, was able to clean it up and re use it. I vented the muffler real well, removed the carb limiters, and the saw is still running (in professional use).

From the info I have seen over a pound lighter than the 572, just hope it runs as well.
