Finally took the time to build a nice shooting bench for back in my woods. I wanted lots of space and I got it. It’s a tank! lol! Going to have to carry it back into the woods with my loader:risas3:. My wife had our youngest convinced I was building an airplane lol

It works, as as I am a frontline worker and likely to be exposed this week, if I haven't already, I will be appreciative of such insane measures.

I’m a front line worker also, a pharmacist to boot, imposing curfews and draconian measures is insane..
If you are healthy this covid isn’t much worse than the common flu.
The CDC says 80% of the people with it never even know they have it.
My only fear is if I were to give it to an elderly, immunocompromized, or cancer patient. Although they are the one that really need to stay home along with any one with symptoms.

Found a creative method of social interaction still within the recommended social distancing .I just finished up laying flagstone around a domed lily patch and my neighbor beckoned me he had a Bud light with my name on it from about 200 feet away .I stowed my tools and boogied over on my zero turn Toro and had a brew ,20 minute conversation then back to the ranch .Never left the mower kept about 15 feet apart .Where there's a will there's a way .

I've been trimming/pruning/removing my tree's when i'm not workin. Fortunately in nj tree work/swimming pool work is considered essential so I'm still workin every day. And thankful for it

We could do some tack driving on that thing...
It’s 6’ wide so we could shoot and meet social distancing requirements...lol! I could definitely learn a thing or 12 about shooting from a Marine. As an Air Force guy I don’t get to have fun at the range anymore. :(

I haven’t shot my rifles off of a good platform in over 10 years. Hope to find they’re as accurate as I trust them to be. I flagged out my 100yd lane in the woods yesterday, only needs some minor tree clearing to make it nice. Going to build up a log wall then put a big pile of dirt in front of it. Safety first

That is a nice bench! Do you feel like sharing dimensions?
Thanks! Dimensions below, I’m 6’2” so I built it a little tall...just FYI. A standard of seat and deck height is 18” & 36”. I tried to build it so I wouldn’t be so hunched over while shooting off bags, feels good for my frame.

Deck height- 41.5”
Seat height- 21.5”

Please excuse the rough drawing, I’m no artist lol

Thank you. Im only 5'7" but 4 neck surgeries dictates I don't hunch much. I'll modify as needed. Thanks again and great job.
Appreciate the compliment man. I wanted lots of deck space because I hate feeling cramped with ammo containers and other equipment at the bench. It is VERY heavy, if you don’t have a loader or something to move it I would scale it back to 4’x4’.

Kubota L3800 here. Big size not an issue. I'm like you. I like space. My current set up is cramped.
That tractor makes me jelly...nice rig. Here’s the dimensions of the center and the cutout widths. My original plan in my head was 24” but I narrowed the center to ensure I was cramped. Forgot i did that, my apologies

So I've been trying to volunteer for our NHS over here via a organisation called GoodSAM, But so far no opportunities are coming up in my area. On the other hand I have been using a few saw sparsely to cut the last of the wood on my property,as I have no access to my families woodlands atm. So.. to keep me busy I have pulled the unimog out of the garage and have been re doing the brake lines (the whole truck), installing a new to me plastic diesel tank and sender, replacing the steering gear, started wax oyling it and rebuilding the kingpins. Here are some photos. Gonna get the chassis, susp and drivetrain sorted in the next 2 weeks and then tackle the cab. Hope all on here are ok with the current covid issues. I'm weathering fine, I'll take this time to sort my stuff out.

What year is that? I worked in Dorset next to a UniMOG a lot. Amazing machines.
