If anyone thinks that this is a hoax and you have friends or relatives in Europe, particularly Italy or Spain, contact them and see how they are doing. Ask them if they think it is hoax.

Thank you.

Believe me my friends. This virus is no hoax.

I left home for the first time in 3 weeks we are on a stay at home order. Took my kids to ride bikes. We are allowed to leave to excercise/ walk outdoors. Our church parking lot 2 miles down the road outside the city limits of a small town. Knew we would be alone. I met 10 cars on the road in a 2 mile stretch. Doesn't seem that it makes much difference I hear the stores are still full with shoppers for non essential things.

One of our driver from Greece said that have extremely tight measures and have had good success keeping the fatality numbers down. Apparently they go online and let the authorities know when they are going for groceries or a short walk and have a very limited time in which to do that. If they are out of their home for any reason, they have to account for it period.

That’s no fun at all... France is doing somthing likes the same, you have to make a declaration
Print it and sign it. Carry it and show it if you get stopped.. and you get fines if ....

here in the uk... we have rules. That were supposed to follow.. you can find them on the net if you want to read.. but in really involves no more than two people 6ft apart.. edit unless from the same family.
one form of exrsize a day.. only doing shopping etc.
Most peeps are following them... but from what I understand younger peeps high school/university students are a bit laxed about it..

see where we go to next..

I’m Belive of just keep 6ft away, and most preferably in open air when possible.
Edit.... and try not to touch anything that someone else has touched in public places.

Streets are nearly empty here in Ireland. I have friends and family in all corners, and it's all more or less the same. Though there's the usual morons doing stupid things, most folks are dealing well. It's in no small part due to the feeling we all have here that our health system doesn't compare well to the NHS or the German system. We had people in trollies in hallways long before the pandemic started. But we also started our shutdown after our first few cases. Wish us all luck.

Bear in mind one of the reasons the numbers in Spain and Italy are so bad is because folks were already thick in the hospitals, many for the flu and other acute symptoms. And many folks who had the flu and needed to get in to the hospital for critical care weren't able to. So not only are we going to see a lot of dead folks from the covid, but we'll also see folks dying from flu that might have survived with simple antibiotics or critical care, causing the flu lethality to rise. And we'll also see folks who would have normally survived from other illnesses and injuries not make it, or be maimed or chronic for life because of the lack of care available.

When you see people sick or dying from covid, bear in mind a good percentage are the carers, emt's, doctors, nurses, technicians, consultants, stewards, etc working in the health system. Losing these folks further reduces the effectiveness of our health care systems. In Europe, some staff who have been infected are now recovering and some are returning to work.
We'll get over this, but we need to be smart about it.

Stop messing around, and try your best to stay out of your health care system for as long as possible. Your life and the lives of others depend on it.

So I've been trying to volunteer for our NHS over here via a organisation called GoodSAM, But so far no opportunities are coming up in my area. On the other hand I have been using a few saw sparsely to cut the last of the wood on my property,as I have no access to my families woodlands atm. So.. to keep me busy I have pulled the unimog out of the garage and have been re doing the brake lines (the whole truck), installing a new to me plastic diesel tank and sender, replacing the steering gear, started wax oyling it and rebuilding the kingpins. Here are some photos. Gonna get the chassis, susp and drivetrain sorted in the next 2 weeks and then tackle the cab. Hope all on here are ok with the current covid issues. I'm weathering fine, I'll take this time to sort my stuff out.

Since you are on the front line, you may want to watch this video. Vitamin A, D and C may assist you to handle the virus. I was already doing vitamin D & C, gonna have to get me some A.

Thanks, I'm taking plenty of those and have been for years. Taking those, and wearing gloves at work has cut the number of colds and flu's I was getting by a good 90%.
