Cleaned up muh bench tonight, getting prepped for this 660. Pulled the 288 piston, removed the base gasket, wiped down the case and found this ................


At least it's only 2 holes that I had to run the tap through

No, he musta been using a dang power driver to start the screws ............ lookat them scrape marks next to the boogered threads

If it doesn't clean up with a tap, I'm going to heli-coil it
