So... @Woodpecker how do you think this 400 matches up against the 562? Seems it was the 60cc darling with 70cc power at one time.

I think it would kick a 562 in the nuts and steal it’s lunch money. Just as well balanced but with more grunt. Definitely moar gooder on the fatigue factor.

Even if it was a dead even race between the 562 and 400 by the time you get the 562 restarted on a hot day your to tired to run it and a whole tree behind in the race.

Does it have a fully adjustable carburetor or are the port guides for one cast into the plastic for it? If it is what carburetor is on it?
I wonder if the piston and cylinder would fit on a 038AV ? Could be a great hybrid.
Sorry for the non derail, just interested in the saw.

Sounds good I’m just pushing buttons Steve, I haven’t any experience with the mark 2 saws just the two mark 1 saws. One I rebuilt and seems good the other started hard warm so I vented and screened the air box plus used heat reflecting tape on the cylinder side of air box divider. It helped lots the guy said but still not perfect. So in my dealings with them as limited as it is a have a poor opinion of them

400 is auto tune and fed different than an 038 super so probably not an easy thing to do. Not saying impossible but probably not easy

Do you know if other markets offered a straight carburetor?

The mark deux’s have mostly been good. They’re a rod of the hot.
