Any one running one of these or know someone who is? I think Brad got one for one of his saws. Thinking of trying it out in my 2171 I'm putting together.

Is that the domed "dominator" one?

I have one of the original Bailey's Wiseco dual thin-ring pistons in a saw I've been running off and on for about six years. Parrisw machined the jug for me back when he was still into saws. It's been a phenomenal runner all this time. I've fell timber with it using 28" to 36" bars. I guess I can pull it apart and see what it looks like internally.

I think you can order it directly from wiseco with a set of ceramic bearings.
Brad did a thread on it over on as with a link.

I'm not worried about the bearings. I talked with tree slingr and he made his own with ceramic balls.

Brads the only one I know of that's tried one. Probably not worth it unless you want to go really wide with the ports

$110 is pretty typical for a Wiseco forged piston of that size.

No 51.4mm piston.. :(

I saw that they offered an all black piston for a little less. Honestly the price wouldn't be a deal breaker for me if the performance increase was significant or if it was proven to help the bottom end last longer.

The price drop on cylinder kits makes this a tough decision. Though I'm sold. When I buy another piston it will be this one with the bearings.
