Why I'm here...

I enjoy this site the best , lots of knowledge and a pretty sane group with a limited amount of ball busting which can get tiresome digging thru if too much of it .
I look in on AS some and see the attitude that poisons it so if some come here I hope it doesn't come with them .
Couple others I look in on a bit but not much that interests me plus I decided some time ago to spend less time in forums so coming to the one that offers the most of what I like is key .

Honestly, I have no idea what happened over at AS.
I did pick up something here and there but I still don't know the whole story.

It took me a while till I realized that members were migrating to OPE, so I came over and joined to take a look.

I still check in to AS to the same extend as I check into OPE, but it feels a bit tiresome.
If I reply to a thread on AS and then see the same topic here I usually do not repeat myself - of course the same goes the other way around, If I post something in OPE I don't take it over to AS.
I just don't have the time to post everything twice and try to keep track of it - but I do admire those that do and can.

"Why I'm here..." - I guess I followed the good folk.
I know that the three members I had successful dealings with are here as well, so I'm OK with OPE.

I joined AS after the split, I don't know the who what or why. I can tell you that the difference between the sites to me personally has been huge. On AS it felt a bit cold and unsettled. Here from day one i've been treated like family. Can't say that about almost any other place.

i left the assite when everything went down i like the atmosphere here more and i can understand the wood in some places is harder to come by here you can get firewood just about anywhere even along the roads i cut wood with my buddy yesterday and i could have drove my car to the tree i usually cut firewood for 5 or 6 families and keep some junk wood not good for burning to play with i brought home about 12 foot of 20 inch sycamore today to test saws in
