At my work anyone that can work from home is doing so. Being a mechanic that's not an option for me or anyone in my group. For now we've been split up into three groups and have been told to stay in certain areas of the plant. We're not to intermingle with anyone outside of our area. We'll see how that goes....

Well we just had a positive case inside the city I work in so we shall see what happens.
More cases popping up in the next county over. Stage 3 precautions just went into effect here social distancing, bars restaurants and the like can only do takeout and drive through or delivery. And firm recommendation that all over65 or having prior serious medical conditions avoid 10+groups.
My county normally follows said county on goings on.
About the same here in NC

Im pretty much staying at home and the gf works from home. Got everything we needed to in order. Just waiting for full lockdown. One thing I've learned from this is how financially unprepared and just generally unprepared people are. The poop paper hoarding still has me baffled. Is there a delicious recipe for survival toilet paper casserole i dont know about? You can survive without poop paper. You can't survive without food and the masses seem to be only concerned with toilet paper and disinfectant wipes. Its relevant that many wouldn't make it very long in a full out survival situation
I went to the grocery store today. No meat except pork chops and 4 hams. No chicken, no beef, no bread, no water, no milk, no toilet paper, no paper towels.

Its the same here my friend. People are now waiting in crowds for the truck drivers to show up at our local Walmart and dollar general on delivery days. Those truckers start getting assaulted and robbed and they stop running.... *s-wordts gonna get real

I'm learning new stuff about this virus every day.
Washing your hands won't save you from getting it. The virus can hang in the air for 3 hours indoors. In other words if someone with it coughed in the grocery store aisle 3 hours earlier you can breathe it in.
Grocery store employees here today are now wearing masks.
I dug out my stump grinding masks for the whole family.

Going to grab some extra cash, just in case.
Other than enough fuel for the generator, if needed, I think I'm good to go.
Plenty of food, coffee, paper goods, pet food, beer and ammo.
My wife and I could do 30 days of quarantine, without much discomfort.......I think.

I feel bad for the families that don't have the financial means to prepare to shelter at home. This is going to be really hard on a lot of families.

As of tomorrow my wife is working from home, probably the same for me come Monday. Elliott has no school or daycare as of Monday, T is going to keep him home starting tomorrow.

I just got the call from work to stay home. Plantwide layoff untill this all gets resolved.
Hope the big three go back soon. This sucks. Might have to see if i can sell firewood or some odd jobs.

I'm out of work and wife will be out of work next week. We have enough savings to last a little while. Hopefully the government doesn't destroy everything. I do take note that all the .gov workers at all levels from local gov on up have largely been told to stay home with full pay. I hope they are comfortable.

JT announced that he is giving away the farm so hopefully you guys get the assistance you need. Cheques should start flowing first week of April or so.

Willard, being 6 hours south of you that hurts to hear. There has not been a single case in the province that wasn't directly resultant of international travel and not a single case within 5 hours of you. Yes, tests have shown that the virus isn't dead at the 3 hour mark but pretty damn close. A person with a normal immune system would normally not notice that at all. Of the 17 cases locally none are hospitalized due to Covid19 related illness.
Wearing a mask in public right now would not do anything other than cause panic and would not help prevent virus transmission if it was present. A dust ask for stump grinding would do nothing to protect you from the virus.

Any kind of mask is better then nothing .
I don't know what those blue pointy masks are that the Safeway grocery employees are wearing. They don't look like they seal as good as my masks do.
Get my info from the National Post.

The mass lay offs have put a lot of people looking for short term work. It might be a good time to get that room painted ECT. Helps both sides out. I just talked to a future daughter in law about this. Her works gonna lay her off the whole of April. Just trying to make things work here!

Our grocery stores /supermarkets are pretty well stocked, except for certain items. Still see people trying to buy large amounts of toilet paper, bottled water, etc. when available. Stores are posting limits on some items. Closing earlier to allow additional cleaning, and opening early for 'elderly and at risk' shoppers only.

It has hit here in my little town, layoffs everywere, no school, their letting non critical inmates out of jail, reduced law enforcement, health and welfare shut down, court house shut down, librarys shut down.
I been slammed the last 3 days with tree removal jobs and cutting blowdown from the storm that hit us saturday. Burning 3 gallons+ of saw gas a day makes the body tired and sore!

Yes the National Post usually presents the Right side of the story but in this case I have stopped trusting all media and am going right to the sources. It is very interesting to JT talk for 30 minutes and hear what I hear with my own ears and then listen to the talking heads discuss it. Can’t remember how many times I went Huh? Today over something someone said that didn’t match what I had heard and written down.
