The 7020 has the 301 and is a full power shift. Heat and cold ac. There is also an agco allis 5650 on the farm. It needs a clutch bad. Not a bad little tractor just has no turning radius.

And of course my VAC. Just got done rebuilding the pressure plate, new torque tube bearings and seals, and a new pedestal shaft, bushing and bearing. Tested it out with the brush hog today.

I like it. We have never had a cab tractor with heat or AC, it doesn't fit in the barn.

A/C had the right idea with the Power Director transmission, way back in the day, and the 7000 series stepping up to 3 speeds was a great improvement. They were so far ahead of their time, it's too bad they couldn't weather the 80's recession, because they were eating John Deere's lunch.

I hear one of the things that did AC in was when they started painting the tractors duetz green. It's like going to a tractor show and some guy painted a farmall like a John deere. Just makes you want to b....slap them!

It's a lot longer story than that. From my understanding, they sold out their tractor division to Deutz, who was hoping to use the A/C reputation to increase their stake in the US market. It went over like a fart in church, and in the early 90's, they sold the remnants of the Allis division to the management, who founded AGCO (Allis Gleaner COrporation). The early AGCO Allis tractors used the engineering from A/C to get off the ground, and took it from there.
