I use Sony Vegas Pro for my multicam HD 7.1 video editing, but my first run through on demonstrating the Stihl Circlip installer is less than stellar

I figured I would get my son to shoot it for me real quick after packaging one day.
Stihl OEM pistons come with one circlip preinstalled so you can install the pin from the "easy" side with the tool.
Al built this cylinder on the "hot" side and told me to flip the piston and run one ring.
After trying to mill a hole in the top of the piston I figured out he meant to flip it intake to exhaust and of course that means I need to pop out the pre-installed circlip and switch it to the other side, buuuuut I didn't so....
plus I was trying to look over at the phone while I was putting the circlip on the magnet and even though I clearly say to line it up properly I instead mangle the whole thing

I can take it
this is a far cry from shooting a live concert in stealth mode with separate tiny Schoeps mics and custom built pre-amps and A/D converters and digital audio recorders and mini HD camcorders on monopods and then editing that together with similar efforts from multiple other people
Maybe I should do a demo on the brake spring tool at least the whole procedure takes less than two seconds so if I mangle it too badly I can reshoot 15 times in under a minute
hopefully others laugh at my fail as much as I do, I know my son certainly did

Actually. ..I need to show my failures more often in my vids....people can learn a lot from it.

I need invisible hands and a head mounted go-pro type camera so I can capture what I see rather than busted knuckle and a can of WD40
there is definitely an art to doing a demonstration video that actually captures and explains something well

I agree ....I struggle all the time to be thorough....often it ends up being too wordy though...or my hand is in the way...or my head etc. ...it isn't easy and for sure a work in progress
