I have a 044 10mm and a 371. I love them both but if I had to choose one or the other. I would have to go with 371. The comfort and the anti vibe is just that much better on the hooskies.

I like the feel of a Stihl. AND.........The 372 hurts my head with the higher pitch of the exhaust.

Well, I can tell you my least favorite is the 441 stock.
But the 441 is now my favorite saw...Why u ask...it is no longer stock.
I also love the dolmar 7900/7910, yes powerful enough for me, and I just like the way they feel/balance in my hands with a 24" bar.

They can get old after a couple tanks of bucking. Not so bad in 8x8 3 cuts at a time.

I have a couple 044's but dont have any real run time with them yet, so I cant vote for a 044..... yet.

I do have quite a bit of run time with a MM461, it's my favorite.... I like the crackle of the tri port exhaust, and I like the torque it has 461 FTW

Last time my wife came wood cutting with me, she said dont turn that thing on,,,, (she was referring to my 461) it's too loud...

I just shook my head,,, and said "that thing" (with a smile) at least when I turn it on, it returns the favor..... I was not able to hear her reply, once the 461 was running

I've had a few and liked them all, but stock, I'd have to go with a 372 but the 044 was right behind it, if not next to it.

i like loud stuff, saws included. i just use the chitty foam earplugs. lets you hear all the good stuff, without all the ear-piercing high pitched stuff. Ill not run a saw without hearing protection.

Mine is a toss up between the 046 and the 372. The 046 has plenty of grunt and just sounds mean. The 372 handles well doesn't shake you as much and is fast. Plus the ease to work on is nice 11 screws and the cylinder is off. 13 if you include carb bolts.

Most of the loggers in my area, fell and limb with huskys' 372's 28" bars here, so that must be saying something!

yup i gotta agree.. love my MM461 too. very closely followed by the 441cm, it fast and smooth but i think the 461 has more grunt.

I agree! I also have a MM441c... like the MM461 more best.

JRed 2171 that is not stock and just for a pure fun factor my Poulan 4200. Well the Poulan is not quite 70cc but only 69cc and is a torque monster. Don't sound bad either, not mine but you get the idea
