I took this 361 in on trade last week. Muffler had rattled apart and had sucked up a small piece into the combustion chamber. Luckily nothing’s hurt. Had a regular customer look at it Saturday and say oh I need to get my dad something for his birthday, he needs a new saw. Sure when is your dads birthday?........”Next Saturday “. Last of the parts showed up yesterday. My son graduated college yesterday so here goes...

Nice looking bar, what are the details? Is it a light weight?
I wonder if Cannon decided to go with the skinnier insert? The last few pics posted of the bars actually in use being tested are of the skinnier one.
Does this look right? It's for a 576. The old one was flush I thought View attachment 180521 View attachment 180522 View attachment 180523 View attachment 180524

What about lower trans? Those weren’t touched eitherThere's a long-time porter up in BC who swears that the upper transfers on a quad-port saw should be left alone - that looks like one of his saws. I ran one, it wasn't too bad.

Look at Walkers stuff, you don’t usually see a lot of porting. But his saws still run good
My uncle has a 64 with a 66 jug on it from them. It runs really good, I talked him into letting me pull the jug one day. No porting at all.I've had in the neighborhood of about 16 or so Walkerized saws - 394s, 066s, 372s, 440, 460.
Some were good, some were not so good. The one thing he was doing at the time that really bothered me was dropping the lower transfers
all the way to the bottom of the cylinder, regardless of the model. This works ok on some saws and not so good on some others. The best
runner of his I ever had was a 394 - it had the "dual pipes" muffler with the stock outlet completely closed over, WJ-39 carb, and moderate
exhaust timing.
Another issue I've had with his shop is inconsistency. I had two Walkerized 066s one time and the porting between the two was completely
different. It was almost as if two different people ported the saws with different recipes (which is likely what happened).
