I may be a Ford Guy, but I love those Style (63-67) Vettes!

But you see, with the Mustang, I can take 3 Grand Kids with me!!!

Otherwise, I would be hankering to have a Classic T Bird or a Daytona Coupe Repro!

One of our friends had a very rare 65 396. Even a lot of GM guys don't know about that car. The 66/67 was only offered in 327 or 427.

How are the 2x4's contented to the concrete slab? Interested in building me a little work shop/garage one day.
Lots of different ways to connect to a slab.
Anchors embedded in new pour (several different kinds), more common is to drill through bottom plate into existing slab then fasten with tapcons or
wedge anchors.

A Factory 5 Daytona would be so badass.

He will most likely sell it once its done. Only classic car he has kept long term is the ‘66 Chevelle SS.
Which is a keeper for sure but that vet in a couple years will be big money even though it not a 63 split window or 67 427 L88 but it's still a stingray and they are just going up and up on value sell it now and youlyo have a good down payment for a house sell it in a couple years pay for the house in full.lol

True. He just did a big block T-bird coupe, has his eye on another rare car. All it takes is time and money, has to sell one of the cars to afford to build another.

Hey, you want to talk valuable cars I once had … 68 Mustang GT Factory 428 CJ Drag Pack (4:30s) w/engine oil cooler.

A few years ago, fully restored, they were going for over 1/2 mill at Barrett Jackson. I bought it for $1,200, sold it for $2,500, did not have a garage to keep it in. But I had it … and I drove it … but my 427 (in the 70 Boss) Mustang and my 68 390 GT were faster.

My current one feels a lot like the 427.

Homelite EZ on the bench. S shaped clutch was toast so I found a 3 shoe clutch to swap.....maybe poulan brand or green machine? Swapped drum to rim drive and chain to 3/8 lo-pro. Carb swapped from an echo 650 with bigger venturi.

Plus homemade plastic intake. Nothing but the best for a $12 saw

24"ish bar

The place I sold it to was selling a 69 Boss 429 for $2,500 the same time … had a blown head gasket and no one was making them!
Have heard a lot of stories over the years, that’s a good one! The family I got my camaro from, he is restoring his 67 vette 327/4-speed, he bought it for $2000 in the early 70’s but he passed up a 67/427/4-speed for 3k on the same lot...his wife ribs him all the time, you should have bought the big block! Lol
My dad passed on a 356 Porsche in 72 for under 3k...heard the low point for cobra’s was 3k,?would like to have had a few of those!
