Couple saws for a cleanup. 038 and husky 353. Blew them off sharpened chain and took rakers down a bit more. Should.be plenty agressive now. Next victom is gonna be shagbark hickory.

Those are pretty tough little motors...
Had it been sunk at some point recently or a complete lack of an oil change? (for years!!!)

Its going to wipe away some dirt & shale and make a completely new bench and set trusses holding up a big cover for HTSS :)
Wish I had that to put these trusses up the other day!
Not my new shop either. [emoji3525]

Old 281xp I rebuilt and sold last year. The recoil spring had broken, so the guy brought it for a replacement. The guy who I sold it to bought it without a bar, wanted to use one he had. Turns out he had been running a mismatched setup. Yuck.

He decided he wanted a new 20" bar. I asked him if he was sure he didn't want something a bit longer, like a 24", for that Saw. He looked at me and asked me if I thought it would handle a 24"...

Yes, I think it will.

Be glad to see this 036 go. Fought me every step of the way.
Then when buttoning up to test and tune in wood. Chain wont go on. I count and it is a freaking 59dl chain for a 60dl bar.
But being I used to run big pins on my 066 etc. I knew how to handle this. Remove rim and put on as a set.
Cutting nice in the ash now.
