I would run it regular way so it wont chew up the sour gear if that really matters.

Now maybe lowering the rakes might not be a bad idea.

It's a great idea! Except about a month ago when my dad retired and gave this to me I instantly became the best Porter there ever was......... my first job was converting a Mac bar to fit a husky. Word to the wise...... wear gloves........ I was picking metal shards out of my hands for about three days........ you don't even feel them going in. hundreds of um. But im gonna knock down them rakers fo sho cuz my main man told me so! Thanks Wayne! If i get ripped wide open its OK cuz its at my sisters house. Ill just put it on her Insurance if i dont bleed outHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

It actually has a good bar and chain on it. The spark plug hole is pretty buggered and she may have went in there a little crooked but it's tight. I changed the fuel lines. Gutted the muffler and made a homemade air filter out of a piece of cushion. Threw some red armor in her and she fired on about the fifth pull. So ultimately I'm testing this and I need it for one job. I want to use it to dig a trench to run an electrical line. From what I've read most people frown on it but I want to give it a shot I guess my question is do you put the chain on forward or backwards for optimal hillbilly performance? I figure not to use chain oil as it would gum everything up and it would probably be better just to throw dried dirt. Comments and criticisms the more the better. I also purchased a time sert 10mm by 1.0 from Amazon it’s cost a lot more for that kit,but still cheaper than a cylinder

By sitting overnight, do you apply to the bolts then dry, then insert or apply, insert, then let sit overnight?

I apply to the bolts or the thread hole and insert screw. Let it set overnight. They also make “glue stick” style loctites and they work well too. Little easier to apply.

Goggles for the eyes too! I got aluminum shards in my eyes once when the wind blew them in. Luckily I rinsed them out really good immediately and followed up with the eye doctor.Thought I was ok wearing just glasses like a idiot. That was the last time I did that without goggles. Lol

Yes, i forgot to mention that as well. I always wear eye protection. The one thing i dont jack around with. Like i always tell my boys "u only have 2 eyes and u cant get new ones"

I've been there. Went through a few years of hypersensitivity. It really really sucks.
