Probably no drilling required! Lol
Should be able to use helicoil tap and thread coil right in on that one...
Red loctite is your friend with these....

I paid more than that for just the 5×.8 kit...
so that is definitely worth a shot in my book!
Especially for a 142 repair...

Anybody ever drill and tap jb weld with sucsess? I use it all the time for odds and ends and kids toys but nothing structural like running bolts into and hope they stay

Another 394, going to put all new goodies on this one.

Nice looking project Dustin. Just want to let ya know the carb base in the box looks like a 395 one, the 394 carb base is a bit different (throttle cable is held by base). You can mod the 394 base to work on 395 but not the other way around.

Ya uve been at it for a while. Lol! I have 1 parts saw and the rest r runners. 6 need a lil tlc.
Id send a pic but their scattered in the garage like Easter eggs to keep the wife oblivious to what actually is going on

Ok so is a m7x1.0x75 totally impossible to find? I got two stipped out m6's on the head of the 142 husky wer the muffler bolts on. Was gonna drill and tap to next size but cant seem to locate the m7x1.0x75. Found it in m8 but u could use that to build a swing set for God sakes. And i dont have enough meat. A lil wallered out.

Ok so a m5 heli screws into a m6 hole. Use m5 bolt after that? I found a whole metric Heli coil set couple hundred pieces and tools on Amazon for like 35 bucks. One time cert tool kit for one specific size is like 80 bucks.
