I had 2 200 Ts come in about a month apart where the star drive on the drum came apart just like that, and these saws had been in use for a while.

Has anyone really had problems with the small bearing on a 036? Or are we all just paranoid?
I have on a 034. The bearing melted down and took out the clutch, drum, worm gear and oil pump. I wasn't running the saw but I suspect that the chain was WAY to tight and that led to the bearing overheating and melting the plastic cage.

Nevermind Mike I know your a stihl guy and won't ever see it. I promise it would take one special 660 to beat a normal woods ported 395. Ask the guys that build them they will tell you the same.

Not even the fastest one I've built... wasn't built to be... just a good work saw.

Finally broke down and bought a like new one to test out today. Echo 590.
Just wanted to see what this bang for the buck 60cc is about.
Husky 2 series guy bought it new and didnt care for it and went back to the older huskys.
So worked out for me to get it from him to try out myself. Chain dont even look like it has ever been touched. Spur dont even look marked.

Just got done replacing a MS461 brake flag for a local tree guy. What a PITA those things are!

Luckily, 440, 460 and 461 are all the same flag, so I keep a few on hand.

He dropped it off at 8 pm, and he will have it back in the AM.

He also told me one of his 460s needs a recoil cause a guy dropped it out of a tree. Told him I've got them too!

He always pays me for the parts, and he is going to drop me off some Hickory to cut + split for firewood :-) .

Works for me!
