I'm having a ton of issues today with the forum. Tapatalk seems to work fine.I just hit ‘Reply’ instead of Quote. Automatically quotes that post
I have on a 034. The bearing melted down and took out the clutch, drum, worm gear and oil pump. I wasn't running the saw but I suspect that the chain was WAY to tight and that led to the bearing overheating and melting the plastic cage.Has anyone really had problems with the small bearing on a 036? Or are we all just paranoid?
What I love about mine is no matter what bar length I run on it, it still pulls the same in wood.View attachment 122995
Not even the fastest one I've built... wasn't built to be... just a good work saw.
I believe at the CT GTG, a ported 064 or 660 was right on the 661s heels.
Mine all cut wood and put a smile on my face
Just got done replacing a MS461 brake flag for a local tree guy. What a PITA those things are!
Luckily, 440, 460 and 461 are all the same flag, so I keep a few on hand.
He dropped it off at 8 pm, and he will have it back in the AM.
He also told me one of his 460s needs a recoil cause a guy dropped it out of a tree. Told him I've got them too!
He always pays me for the parts, and he is going to drop me off some Hickory to cut + split for firewood.
Works for me!
