Found a leaking crank seal, PTO side on the Husky 365.

Now i gotta buy a fancy clutch tool to get it off.
Anybody tried grinding the backside of a claw hammer to use for a clutch tool?
It's just a husky!

That lathe may have more sit time than run time.
Lots of paint left and the guards present.

If I get the the lathe I will give details of its life.

I know others here will poo-poo me for it, but I drip some Marvel Mystery Oil or Break Free onto the clutch/crank joint and let it sit 24 hrs, adding more as needed. Then pull the spark plug and pack the cylinder with 550 cord (i don’t like piston stops, metal on piston top seems like a bad idea) and use a brass drift and a hammer to tap (tap is a general term......) against the base of the clutch arm. Works every time and I have yet to have any issue with fractured clutch arms or broken cranks.

As far as I can tell it's never been touched...
OR CLEANED!!
Brake flag is cracked on both sides.
Intake side of the piston looks perfect.
Haven't pulled the muffler yet to see exhaust side didn't have time, will try in a bit..
Lol
