Love it! Using 80 grit glass bead media and with very little pressure it does the job well. Will probably convert to soda so I can blast carbs. Next is a sonic tank. lolHow do you like it?
Thanks. Glad to hear it works good. I've looked at that blast cabinet several times but haven't pulled the trigger yet.Love it! Using 80 grit glass bead media and with very little pressure it does the job well. Will probably convert to soda so I can blast carbs. Next is a sonic tank. lol
I tried to stop the chain in cut #3 but it just kept cutting.
My rakers are already good. It self feeds Nice without being grabby. This was just a simple case of small wood and bar on a big saw.Saw sounds very good, but lower the rakers a bit, it makes a big difference. Had trouble stopping the chain on a 36" bar on my 066 till I lowered the rakers, then things changed a bit.
100% agree. But that bar n chain is going back on my 372 once I scrounge up the coin to get a good bar for the 394. A 24” bar on a saw that big is a little too small IMO, I’m going to put a 28” on it for everyday use.I hear ya. Sometimes I mod a chain so it works well on the big saw, then put a big bar on the big saw, and when that chain goes on a smaller saw it is less than ideal!
But, if I were leaving that B&C on that saw, lower rakers would let it cut faster.
Nice looking 450, love them older Johnny RedsView attachment 97763 Finished up a couple of saw's for my nephew.

I run a 28" 8 pin on a stock 394 with a opened up muffler, saw runs it like a champ.100% agree. But that bar n chain is going back on my 372 once I scrounge up the coin to get a good bar for the 394. It has a total 16 inch bar on it well used.
I asked him why and he said he drops willow tree's from around streams and ponds with it.
