Started messing with this yesterday...gonna get it cleaned up and pull the jug...some light scoring on piston...gonna seee if jug is salveagable...then will see if I can find someone to weld up the stripped out exhaust, new muffler, piston...and see if she runs!!

im also doing a 460 sweet saw. i did run into a problem with the stihl AS crankcase tool not wanting to work.

I believe they have dowel pins that should be removed before you try to split the case.

I think theres a total of 6 screws holdin that crankcase together. Make sure their all out! I found that out the hard way!!

I thought it was 6 on a 660 and 5 on a 460, but I could be wrong. I know I missed one also, good luck I found it before any damage.

That may be right Mike. 3 in the center and 2 toward the front. If a bolt is missed and enough pressure with the splitter will ruin a case half

When the case just started to open (you could barely see the seam), but not uniformly, I stopped and found it!

Some vintage Jonsereds iron on the bench today. Just arrived, so it was due for a good cleaning, compression check (152 psi), piston check (beauty), test run (runs great), etc. Has a 36" bar. The full wrap came from one of my other saws.

If anyone has any 110/111 parts, please pm me. I have 4 of these saws, and two are projects, so I need everything.
