Bought a few trashy saws today....they all need a real good steam wash as a starter!!!
This old 444 SG will provide me with the missing brake flag, I've waited for one for about 2 years now, at least my better looking 444's will be complete :D

I never had an 238SG, missed it totally in my collection, all I had was a nos jug. This one is from year 85 week 42. If the inside is good I'll hunt down a better looking top&start cover + original clutch cover.

Could be worse....

@Tor R @Onan18 @Spike60

Does Husqvarna sell handlebar hose to recover their bars like Stihl sells?
no, but I've brought up the issue with Husqvarna Norway (1/2 year ago) and they should discuss it with Husqvarna in November month.
I can only say that Husky Norway liked the idea ;)

I did remind them that Stihl provide hoses for their customers.......

I guess we just has to see, but for them to order some handle bar hoses from the factory and give them a part number can't cost them much.

I picked one up for Ted a year or so ago,only one I've seen around here. If I'd realized they were so rare I might've kept it. [emoji6]

the biggest seller here Brian was the 254SG/XPG, wouldnt surprise me if the sale volume was 50% 254's.
242G/XPG was mostly sold to pro's who wanted a light performance saw, them who had their main income from the forrest also bought chunks of 242's.
The main reason for the amount G saws here in Norway is because Husky only took 10-30$ extra for the G system.
Them 242's are rare here also, I almost never see any of them get serviced by any of my dealers nowadays

I might know someone interested in the XPG parts if the rest of the saw cannot be saved. :D
