My friend's Jonsered 2094 Turbo. The guy that "rebuilt" the saw for his grandfather sealed everything up with red RTV... The piston is split! I am assuming the squish was too tight?View attachment 46880

That saw is suppose to have an isolator heat shield type gasket under the jug. Without it the piston was probably hitting the squish band.

I am with you on the crankshaft probably being toast. I talked with the owner. He said it is mine now. I guess it will get in line with the rest of the projects, lol... Does the 2094 share a crank with a 395?

I wouldn't know what to do with myself working on a clean saw to begin with.
Ain't that the truth! I have had one clean saw cross my bench. It was an 044 that is still stored in it's original case. The owner lets it cool down and wipes it off every time before putting it back in it's case. I know he thought I was nuts since I was saying so many nice things about his saw. It just needed a spark plug and a carb kit. I told him it was such a pleasure working on that saw that it was free. He gave me $50 anyway. (The whole drop off and pickup was through his son in law that I worked with). He has since sent me work through his friends and family.

Finally got the top cover and a few other small parts for the 346. Base gasket delete is all I've done to it so far.

Darn thing is almost too pretty to use.

Thank you for the offer that's very nice of you. but I've got a 25ft roll of echo 3mm x 5mm I've used it on 371 372 288s but it's just a little small i found some tygon locally for now and ordered a 25ft roll of 3mm x 6 mm should do the trick.

I've had trouble with tygon or imitation tygon can't tell the difference anymore even saw it in tygon marked boxes. so i switched to echo years ago love it but my last rolls of "echo" line came in rotary boxes still good stuff but i have no idea who makes it.
