While I'm waiting for the video, here is another unusual one we cleaned up for the display this week. Fairly late model "Redzaw" ICS concrete saw. The fellow that gave it to me said he bought it, used it for one job, and concluded it was too expensive to operate since he wrecked a $400 chain in one go.

It seems to be regular 3/8 pitch chain, of course the cutters are special...

2 days of soaking parts, scraping and chiseling crud off the carcass..after multiple spray sessions with Super Clean and hosing it off today...
I think I'll just call it good and reassemble with a new clutch drum. 🙄

Once I could actually see what was there, the saw is kinda interesting. Like a big brother to the 362.

I fixed this saw for a fellow in 2022, he brought it back last summer saying he made one cut with is and it locked up.

I had another running 360 so I swapped the clutch/drum/bar/chain from this one to the other saw and sent him on his way. Today I decided to have a closer look. I was able to get it to turn over pretty easily...

I would say no, it doesn't appear to have the scoring all around it (at least from what I can see). Looks more like he might have started it and directly started cutting without letting it warm up and the piston expanded faster on the exhaust side and gave itself a bad friction burn.

I got my 394 all set up with the 50” .404 bar from Mike Rupely and the 48” Alaskan mill from @singinwoodwackr. Reprofiled the chain for ripping. Gonna go out and mill some 36” weeping birch tomorrow for a buddy of mine.
