I went through a box of Hammer bullets awhile back. They were accurate as the lead center target bullet I was loading at the time. Believe I was shooting 120 grain Barnes Match and loaded the 115 Hammer the same. Never put one in a critter. I like how you can buy them in smaller quantities.

Melted 15-50 outlet for the Long Haired General's plug in hybrid. After I removed, disassembled, and diagnosed the problem (the the help of some smart sparky's) the company that did the install a year ago came back and fixed it using a Bryant (made in 'Murica) outlet that I purchased. I also tossed the charger (melted around the plug) and got a new one. Set me back $250, but company owner has agreed to reimburse me.

It's a 32a charger running on 240V with a 40 amp breaker. The breaker did not trip. We leave the charger plugged in and I found it by looking for the smell of melted plastic.

Two reasons is melted - 1. One of the hot connections was loose in the outlet. 2. It was a generic 15-50 outlet, not one designed for EV's.

Good catch! That could have turned out badly.

Cleaned up my $30 Facebook find 32” light bar. Scotch brite pad on a Roloc disk in the die grinder to remove the rust, dressed the rails with a flap disk, oiled up the roller, and straightened the bar out. Rolled up a chain from two old rocked out skip chains that I had. Used the grinder to shape them, then finished with hand file. Used my new WCS progressive depth gauge (bought in person at Walker’s last week) to set rakers. Thew it on the 064. I also installed a new trigger in the saw’s handle, because the old one cracked.

I am sharpening/grinding a coworkers chains, 2 72DL 3/8" Stihl RS, 4 60DL Stihl 3/8" Stihl RS, and one .325" Stihl semi chisel.
Still have to set the rackers & dress 4 bars.

He claims he usually gets them ground at a smaller chainsaw/Stihl shop.
If the chain is not sharp it can't get dull I guess.

Knowing very well that Stihl chain rackers eat flat files of any brand I opted to set up my grinder for rackers.
Tooth stop couldn't go back enough for the wheel to align above the racker so I shimmed the wheel out.
I was surprised that the offset was good at "0" , I guess the still large wheel OD is a determining factor here.
The wheel is a worn down industry grade band saw belt grinding wheel, dressed to fit my purpose.
I am setting racker height grinding a lick off one LH & RH each and checking with a Husqvarna gauge & double checking with an Archer FastFiler.

This is so much easier and faster than filing those rackers!

Worn bars look better on old saws for some reason. The WCS gauges are nice but they'd be nicer if they had the depths stamped on them somehow. Probably can't be done or they would.

Diving into a Disston DO-101 fuel meter. It has a transmission driven internal impeller that pressurizes the fuel and injects it into the venturi according to the position of a throttle trigger controlled needle valve. The excess fuel is returned to the fuel tank. Similar to mechanical fuel injection. PXL_20251004_220859785~2.jpg

Dressing the bar that goes with the chains.
It was a brand new bar around April.
It is a 60DL 3/8" mounted onto a MS500i.
I guess dogging in and pushing hard makes a completely dull chain still cut on that PH.
The bars rails were grooved in about 1mm deep at the most worn sections towards the bars tip.

So not worth messing with friends & family OPE where "free of charge" is expected.

Disclaimer:
I ground 7 loops of chain and dressed 4 bars free of charge in hopes of getting some alone time with the coworkers MS500i - before he destroys her.

But, mostly because he is a good friend outside of our workplace! :)

This is more "What is your bench," but here

1000003891.jpg

Three plastic totes on my deck. One contains two husky 345 cadavers, one shelters a 353 project saws, and one is home to my pressure washer. Stacked up, they make a great impromptu bench.

I'm pretty sure i got the "one plastic tote per project" idea from you. At any rate, I found that a 17 gallon/65 liter tote will hold two 345/346/350/353 powerheads or one powerhead and a bunch of parts and tools. Very handy for a person who has a minimal shop.

until now.

Are Japanese coils defective? 😉 I just replaced it at Kawasaki now Miruyama and now I found out that it's time to order sealants 🤠👍
And it doesn't go out 🤠👍 it just slowly increases its speed. It's the second time in my life I'm seeing this 😎
