Shop is full this week. I was using the Struck to move fill sand into the site for the new building and the spiral retaining rings for the front left track sprocket peeled off. Parts are on the way.

Project was nearly finished.

I also picked up a McCulloch 4 HP air cooled outboard motor, hopefully I can make time in the near future to get it cleaned up for the display.

Been fighting my 036 pro for a while, try a few different carbs and still no luck, finally broke down and bought a new OEM carb! Runs like a champ nowView attachment 457082
If all else fails read the instructions and do it the right way 😂👍

Been messing with these free-b saws, the 41 just wouldn’t tune. Would start and idle well, but would kinda rev up but acted way rich even with the h screw turn in a lot, just didn’t sound right. Ended up doing a mm, drilling out the center support, opening up the original outlet, then adding a second! Now it runs really good. Was such a turd! IMG_2323.jpeg
And put the adjustable carb on the other free-b 170! What a difference actually sounds like a real saw now! LolIMG_2325.jpeg

You can change out the front chain adjuster to a side mount chain adjuster and make it even better!!

I woulda sent you mine 😆

Then again I haven’t tried felling with a 32” on it yet. Might be too soft

For a 32, I’ve always thought the black mounts were a little… Flaccid. Falling it does okay, it’s bucking using the dogs and moving the tip around limbing where I can really feel the wiggle and the rear handle moving and almost bottoming out on the mount with my somewhat ham-fisted approach when I was running my 460. Even the Stihl light bar felt jiggly. A lot of the time I run a solid bar, and I couldn’t imagine how bad that would be.

That 460 is probably going to wear a 32 all year and I really wanted the stiffer mount. It’s the most powerful (probably) saw I own right now & I just didn’t really put the thought into it until the 046 mount went down & I decided I would get two.

The next thing for the 460 is going to put the spark arrestor screen back in. Come mid-July things can get awfully dry here. I’ve not seen many… Maybe any sparks ever come out of a saw muffler, but I’d rather not play that game in a state where true wildfire resources are few and far between.
