I put a carb kit in a Shindaiwa 695 yesterday (LUV IT!)
Modded this 18" Forester k095 today to fit the k041 488.
5oz lighter than the solid Tsumura that was on it.
I think it a little better balanced than the Tsumura.

Would you mind to share a picture of that bar mod please? I tried doing it to a different setup and it didn’t work very well.

Sorry, just saw this.
I just used a chain file to remove material up to the bottom of the chain rail.
Works excellent.

Metabo W6 burnt rotor became an organ donor 😉🤠 The second one is also from Germany, they are nice because they are the smallest and so precise

^^^^ I gave $10 for that saw.
It was missing the clutch cover & had a 14" Oregon bar with 3/8lp chain just so it would sell. Lol
I bought a clutch cover for $25 on fleabay & put new fuel lines & duckbill valve in it & cut about 20 ricks of wood with it. Lol
Carb started messing up, so I started gathering parts for it over the last 4-5 months.
I have another one (both chrome bores) that I've owned for over 20 years & never had a single problem with it.
Kinda sux owning 2, cause I tend to buy 2 of every part I buy! Lol

I finished my wife's work bench today. What's on her bench? A small sampling of valor quilts that she has been involved with making.View attachment 411170
My father in law just made my wife a bench for her quilting room. We have 2 old wooden ladders in the living room to hang quilts on she has so many. That is a beautiful bench you made

A buddy asked me to give his 350 a once-over since it had sat a bit. A quick look showed the decomp was missing the button, it had the intake clamp of death, and the muffler was working loose. An hour or so later and the decomp is plugged, it has the updated clamp, a muffler shield, and a 346 muffler bracket and is ready for service again. If it was mine the dished piston would go, but I didn't have one handy and he'll need it soon.

Handle repair day :D
Friend down the street wanted to use my TIG...that I have yet to master...
Sure! Once you get your stuff done, can you look at a couple busted wrap handles? 😃
3 junk handles are now usable, wee! 2100, 266-272....
He does Magnesium as well...hmm...

He's a retired pro industrial welder, lol

Now, I just need to get him to teach me :p
