He actually wants to start using it again, that's why he wanted to get it going again.

New tool bag and kit for when I'm doing road calls. Mom and dad got me a Home Depot gift card for my birthday and I used that to buy it. I'll add screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers from what I have at home.

WT215 for a 025c that's finally making off the shelf is been on for a couple years! Swapped out the tooless chain adjuster and freshened up the fuel delivery. Muffler mod and timing advance and a new bar and chain. Ready to find a new home.

I like your work bench -- especially them special tools toward the back under the cake boxes. Those must be "builder tools" but they look awfully tasty!
That special sauce in the bottle there by the kit -- is that some magic elixir?

Lol! Ya the lighting and warmth at the dinning room table are great! The Christmas cookies are awesome! My little needle bottle is two stroke oil for the butterfly shafts and H and L screws. Carb went through the ultrasonic and needs lubed during assembly.

Gents,

Working on this MS440. I need to replace the bottom end. It was a non-running saw that was waterlogged. Put an aftermkt top end on it already and it runs. Just not very well. Don’t trust the bottom end.

I ordered an aftermkt bottom end from HL to try out.

Ethanol fuel making me lots of money! 2 snowblower carbs to do today. 5 hp Tecumseh and a 208cc Briggs. This is the Briggs carb. A good hot bath in the ultrasonic cleaner will have them both going again. The inlet needle was stuck on the Briggs carb too.

2 knocked out today.

Ariens Sno Tek with a 205cc Briggs snow engine, carb cleaned and primer hose replaced. Delivering it back Monday after work.

MTD Yard Machines 5/22 with a Tecumseh HSSK50 5 hp, carb rebuilt, new recoil (recoil assembly was $5 more than the spring), oil change, new plug, shoes adjusted. Waiting for a primer bulb which I'll have Tuesday. It'll be getting a new primer hose too.

Have a snowblower and generator getting dropped off tomorrow. The generator is a no start and the snowblower barely runs, I'm suspecting fuel issues with both since 95% of the stuff I work on ends up being fuel issues.

Cut up some stuff that fell "last year" with my 550 today.
Hit something and dulled the chain so I " limped" through a couple small cuts to get close to a dump cart load.
Just changed out the bar and chain as I was getting into larger wood.

Decided to give it a quick once over maintenance wise as it seemed idle down slow after longer cuts.

I found a little bit of sawdust in the filter and some fines in the intake tract, but I think the culprit was the decomp that had a lot of build up around it.

After thinking about it for a bit I realized that I have not touched this saw other than chain sharpening/swap or to fuel and oil it in several years!!!

I'm no full time cutter by any means but considering my property, the neighbors I maintain and "side" tree work I do, this thing doesn't sit idle by any means.

Comp test shows 150....
I know this is a much discussed topic due to the smaller plug thread and valve location.

This tester valve is at the gauge with oodles of hose between.

Seems happy to me!

I'd bet it's had a minimum of ten gallons thru it.

These bars have only been mounted on this saw and no others.
I've been through several chains for each bar, except the speed cut it's only the second.

I normally use compressed air to blow off the saw after heavy use, but not after every cut!! Lol

Randy @Mastermind did the machine work on this cyl for me before I purchased a lathe years ago.
I did the porting and a minimal muffler mod (I hate noise!!).

I realize that this saw is a tool and is supposed to be a "wear item" and I use it as one but do not blatantly abuse it.

It amazes me that someone that uses a saw daily to put food on their table does not realize this.

"Insert picture of tree service saw here!!!"
Lol

I realize not every tree service is this way but in my experience the majority are.

I plan on taking this to my local shop to get the hours checked out and will update here.
