Next to my bench at the shop, Oregon
98 Arctic Cat 454. One of our mechanic's projects and he quit so I took over. Good cleaning of the fuel system and it runs great. Fuel tank was leaking at the petcock and of course you can't get a new gasket...so I did a redneck fix and siliconed the dang thing on there. Waiting for it to dry over night and then tomorrow I'll put the tank on, change the oil, and time for a test drive.

Probably be fine. Was there carbon in the ring lands?
Not anything to get excited about. My last bout with hard hot start (milling pine), I was getting fuel and spark. Only thing left was compression, which is why I wanted to have a look inside.

It's not a pretty shelf queen but it is a strong runner. Just need to find the logo for the starter cover.

Looks like a solid axle in the rear. How are you going to turn it?

Would be cool to power it with a chainsaw powerhead. I'm betting a 288 would make that thing haul the mail.
5hp Honda, manual clutch, the rear axle is the front axle from a cub cadet. It will be all joystick control. Plan on an old wheelbarrow tub for a small trailer and pull the cooler or whoever wants a ride. Gearing says 20mph@ 3600 rpm. If the Honda isn't strong enough, I have a line on a 14.5hp
