I have the same Stihl sign, I have a couple smaller Solo and Husqvarna signs too, I had doubles of all the large signs but donated them to a local shop that has a nice vintage saw collection on shelves around their show room, seemed like a fitting place for them.

Thanks Dustin.

I can't stand the way them maxi flows look on a saw.
Looks like a monkey *frenching a football on the back of it.

Stihl makes oval Winter Filters that flow just great (wire mesh screen). I think they work well as long as you are not making milling dust. They are also very quick and easy to clean (I remove the filter and use a dust pan brush). I love em.

K.

I think I’ve almost got this one.

460mag holds pressure for a long time.

Flip the MityVac to vac and she drops down quick.
Pull the starter and it holds vac for hours.
I made sure the decomp was closed up..

Starts right up.
Made a few cuts, held Idle well.

Please enlighten me.

Is this a questionable seal?
If I hand it back to the owner will it fry?

Wow, I hope someone with more knowledge than me gives you an answer so we will both know.

If you suspect the decomp, why not just temporarily swap it out to see it that is the problem? (at least that is an easy swap).

Is it possible something was leaked when you sealed up the ports?

Were the intake boot and impulse line on the saw (are they old or new?)

If you blocked the carb, pressure/vac test the carb to see it is it the culprit.
