Got ya. I've seen them in the past with a name and the saw model abbreviation. So seeing the Q90 made me think doc was cooking up some crazy 90cc hybrid saw.

Made a skid plate for my 044 tank I'm trying to save.
Going to end up dyeing the tank and plastics black........see if the hooray 044 will take me to the dark side.

Started to take a look at the 288 and completely panicked when I cracked open the fuel tank: STRAIGHT GAS!! Shiite! He fired it up and ran it for me last night after I popped off the muffler!!!!

Strip the muffler off:


Looks ok. Tear it down some more and pull the cyl:


WHEW!! Not wasted!

Upon closer inspection, this saw appears to be in much better shape than anticipated.

All I know is that it needs a timing advance, duel port muffler and a HD r2d2 air filter. And it will throw the Earth off it's axis from all the torque.
